Children are the fuel of life, without them there is no future.
A society that does not take care of its children will be left in a state of suffering, of social decay, which can only be reversed the moment we start taking care of our future.
My 8 year old son Gabriel & his 8 year old friend Chloe. They have been friends since they were little babies.

During my visit to the Orphanage in Jinja, Uganda this little boy asked me to spend time with him. All he wanted was to have someone's attention and a big hug. He was lovely ... so gentle. It was heartbreaking to leave him there at the end of the day and know that all he wanted was to be part of a family again.

A suspicious face peers up at me after having his face painted when we visited the day care for the orphan children. Gaborone, Botswana. (Have you ever seen such an amazing reflection in such dark eyes?)

The boy said he found the crow on the ground barely alive a few days before and he decided to nurse it.
The bird was sitting in a box when i met them and didn't look like it's gonna survive. So miserable guy, it was shaking and not even trying to get out fom the box. But when the boy took it out it spread its wings, and though they didn't look well both their span and all the picture was impressive.
I love this photo very much, though I was almost crying whilst taking it..

Some students in a Lingaite school. This is shot inside the temple where they were studying.
This place is just so wonderful, not a single tourist in sight...

She may look familiar to you. Don't think it possible to take a bad photograph of this amazingly lovely young one.

This little girl is mute, but one of the smartest I have ever met. She was moving around so fast in her tub, and understood everything.
This in on the Tonle Sap, a huge lake in the center of Cambodia. A world in itself, it actually provided for the Khmers incredible ability to build Angkor: a near infinite source of proteins.
On this lake, there are floating villages, that move as the lakes goes up and down. Kids get their own tub and use it as a boat to move around, paddling in front and using the turbulences created behind the motion to advance. Hard to describe and mesmerizing to watch. Also requires incredible balance.
